Brent Harris, Sports Information Director for Wabash, is one of the most dedicated, hardest working guys I have ever met. How he finds time to put 26 hours of work into a 24 hour day is well beyond my feeble ability to comprehend.

Brent has received three national writing awards for a piece he wrote for Wabash Magazine on Rob Tomey’s courageous fight against cancer. You’ll recall that “54 Steps” paid tribute to Tomey, a faithful volunteer at Wabash football games.

In a national contest sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), that story was named the Best National Feature, Best Feature in the District, and placed second nationally in all categories of writing by members of CoSIDA.

We know how very good Brent is and how fortunate Wabash is to have him. It’s nice to see his national professional organization also recognize his tremendous abilities and contributions.
