The National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) will induct Philip M. Purcell into the CGP Hall of Fame. As Central Territory Director of Planned Giving for The Salvation Army, Philip is recognized for his contributions to advancing the field of gift planning through his strategic knowledge sharing, educational leadership and advocacy.
Philip previously served as Senior Counsel for Philanthropy for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). He is a board member and President of the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA), as well as editor and Editorial Advisory board member of Planned Giving Today. Additionally, Philip holds appointments on the IRS Tax-Exempt Organization Advisory Council, serves as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Charitable Group Legislation Committee.
