On Saturday, November 12, Paul Hernandez ’74 will take the John Glenn Spell Bowl Team to Purdue University for the state competition. But this is not the team’s first trip to the finals — the Indiana Association of School Principals recently named Paul the 2011 Academic Coach of the Year – his teams have won 15 out of 24 championships in Indiana! Paul is also head of the Glenn’s English department, tutor for its Academic Decathlon team, and supervisor of its national award-winning student publication, “Aerial.” That’s spelled Some Little G-I-A-N-T.
