Michael Bricker ’04 and his sister, Jessica Bricker, are the ultimate Midwest recyclers.  Michael was an original founder of the nonprofit People for Urban Progress (PUP) in Indianapolis, and is the executive director, while Jessica is PUP’s project manager and designer.  PUP promotes environmental causes (its web site has a story about the Wabash Community Garden) and urban transportation and design.  Michael and Jessica also run and manufacture from the nonprofit, which recycles the roof of the old RCA dome into items such as wallets and messenger bags.  Click here to read the feature from last Sunday’s Indianapolis Star about PUP and its vision.  And click here for last weekend’s interview with INside Indiana Business.  Oh, and in his “spare time,” during this past school year, Michael was an instructor in Contemporary Architecture in the Art Department here at Wabash!
