It’s an absolute truth, we Wabash men marry well above ourselves. The Class of 1961 is no exception. Several ladies played a key role in a great reunion weekend. Here’s just a sample.

Charlene Barnette hosted 110 people at her house on Saturday evening. Following a reception in the Barnette’s home, the group moved to a giant tent on the lawn. Then the thunderstorm moved through…but nothing bothered Charlene, a gracious hostess through it all!

Barbara Bachman, wife of class agent JB Bachman, hosted the Hospitality suite at the Quality Inn plus 4,237 other things during the weekend. Barbara always had a smile and was a delight.

Susie and Sam hosted 60 folks at their home on Thursday evening and then proceeded to do everything all weekend long. Here they are at the Fun Run/Walk with one of their dogs. Sam put together a great reunion book – no doubt Susie was a top “advisor”.
