Ben Kesling ’02, currently a graduate student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, is a recipient of The Deborah Orin Scholarship.

The scholarship was established in memory of Ms. Orin, who was the White House correspondent and Washington Bureau Chief for nearly 20 years, to benefit qualified students at her alma mater, the Medill School of Journalism. Since 1991, the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) has awarded more than $583,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors and college-level students, allowing members of the White House Press Corps to foster the skills of the next generation of journalists.

After Wabash, Ben earned a Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School. He then served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps for more than six years. During that time, he was deployed on combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan

Congratulations, Ben!
