Andrew West, MD, has joined Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute Abingdon, specializing in interventional cardiology.
Dr. West offers a broad range of services and treatments, including cardiac catheterization, general cardiology evaluations and percutaneous coronary intervention, according to a written statement.
With a commitment to treating each person as he would his own family, Dr. West approaches care with compassion, precision and a deep respect for the individual.
“There’s nothing more gratifying than helping someone through a serious medical event and seeing them smile again,” he said.
Dr. West earned degrees from Indiana University in Indianapolis, and Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
As part of Ballad Health CVA Heart Institute, Dr. West’s patients have seamless access to the full range of Ballad Health facilities, specialists and other care.
While at Wabash, Andrew majored in biology and minored in chemistry. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi and the Track and Cross-Country teams.
