Joey Smith ’07 began his new duties earlier this spring as manager of the Whitewater Canal State Historic Site in Metamora, Indiana.
He succeeds Jay Dishman who retired in February after 35 years in the position, according to a news release.
Smith spent the past four years in the craft brewing industry. He began his professional career with the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, which oversees Whitewater Canal and 11 other properties in the statewide museum system.
