Dr. William S. Parker ’64 Receives Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award

Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, has presented William S. Parker, Ph.D., with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bill had a long career as a Professor of Biology at the Mississippi University for Women from 1974-2007; served as Head of the Division of Science and Mathematics from 1992 to 1998; was an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Mississippi State University; and served as Managing Editor of the international Journal of Herpetology from 1991 to 2006.

Following Wabash, Bill earned his M.S. from Arizona State University in 1966, and his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1974. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970.
