Professor Fred Fogo ’65 taught for 23 years in Westminster College’s communication program. He is the author of three books on the sixties counterculture. Fred was born and raised in Gary, Indiana. He took a year off of his undergraduate studies at Wabash to work odd jobs and became an apprentice ironworker at a steel plant.  He considered staying on, but his co-workers encouraged him to go back to college. Fogo’s passion for learning and teaching earned him multiple degrees, including a PhD at the University of Utah. On May 31, Fred will receive an honorary Doctor of Communications degree from Westminster College.

Congratulations, Fred!
