Wabash Professor of Economics Frank Howland was the speaker at a recent Kiwanis Club meeting.  His talk, entitled “Recent Economic History of Montgomery County,” was timely because the League of Women Voters and the Montgomery County Economic Development are interested in developing a series of economic and social indicators for Montgomery County.  Click here to read about Dr. Howland’s talk and the joint project in The Paper of Montgomery County.

In addition, Professor Howland and Economics Professor Kay Widdows will use the topic in their Economics 101 classes this fall to study and report on aspects of Montgomery County’s economy – a hands-on project that is very real in the Crawfordsville community.
