Dr. John Walker ’91 is a Crawfordsville dentist. He is also a baseball fan and pitched for Wabash baseball. He is also a traveler. In April he combined his love of baseball with a trip to Cuba through the Cuban Sports Ministry.
They played games with Cuban all-star teams in villages and in Havana. They shared their equipment with the opposing teams, and gave away baseballs, bats, and gloves. They also gave away soap and toothpaste, which is a limited luxury for the citizens of Cuba. Click here to read the complete story in the Journal Review.
