Dr. Timothy L. Lake, Director of the Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies, Associate Dean of the College, and Associate Professor English, spoke in his hometown of Fort Wayne, IN last night at the 28th Annual Service of Repentance and Reconciliation Sunday, Martin Luther King Unity Prayer Service.
Dr. Lake has a B.S. in speech communication at Ball State University and holds master’s degrees from Howard University and the University of Notre Dame, and a doctorate from Bowling Green State University. His area of English concentrates on African American or multicultural literature. Dr. Lake has written several books about Dr. Martin Luther King. He was named director of MXI in 2006, upon the retirement of Horace Turner.
