Michael Bricker ’04 has been appointed to co-chair the newly launched Indy Rezone steering committee, whose work will result in the first major overhaul of city zoning and development regulations in Indianapolis in more than 40 years.
Michael is the founder of People for Urban Progress (PUP), an Indianapolis not-for-profit that promotes and advances public transit, environmental awareness and urban design. Michael and his sister are the force behind “repurpose and reuse” in Indianapolis, through projects such as recycling the old RCA Dome into awnings and messenger bags; old Bush Stadium seats turned in to bus stop seating; and miles of banners from this year’s Super Bowl salvaged to become wallets and shower curtains, for a start.
Joining Michael on the steering committee is the Hon. Mike Keele ’78, Marion Superior Court judge.
