Seamus Boyce ’03, recently named partner at law firm Church Church Hittle & Antrim (CCHA), has been elected to serve on the 22-member board of the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys (COSA). COSA is an international network of attorneys representing K-12 public school districts.  Seamus will serve two year term on the board, which oversees COSA’s continuing legal education programming for its 3,000 members across the United States and Canada.

“As a school law attorney, this is a tremendous opportunity because the Council is deeply involved in understanding the extent of the K-12 public school educational agenda,” Seamus says. “It helps set priorities and determines what initiatives need to be front and center when it comes to discussions on the federal level.”

In 2011, the Indianapolis Star published an article about Seamus and distinguished him as a “Rising Star” for his work as an education lawyer. In addition, the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Indiana Lawyer identified him as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” for the State. In 2012, the Super Lawyers publication listed Boyce as a “Rising Star” in the practice area of “Schools and Education.” He is admitted to practice law before the state and federal courts of Indiana and has briefed a case before the Supreme Court of the United States.  Congratulations!
