Artist and environmentalist Roscoe Wilson’s solo art exhibition entitled It’s Getting Hot Out There will open at the Nightingale Gallery of Eastern Oregon University on February 10.  Sculptures, drawings, and prints address his concern with society’s overconsumption of fossil fuels and its products, and the effect on the environment.

Roscoe is an associate professor of art at Miami University Hamilton in Ohio.  After majoring in Art and Biology at Wabash, he earned an M.A. in painting and printmaking from Purdue University, and an M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He states that his environmental concerns were shaped growing up in the Midwest.  Roscoe’s father is Kerry Wilson ’72.
