Dr. David Boulware ’96 was just named to the Lois and Richard King Distinguished Assistant Professorship at the University of MinnesotaDr. Boulware at UMN:  Assistant Professor and Associate Director of Global Health Programs in Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases & International Medicine, Department of Medicine.  He joined the UMN faculty in 2007, after graduating from Indiana University School of Medicine and completing an internal medicine-pediatrics residency and an infectious disease fellowship at the UMN — or, in simpler terms, he is an infectious disease physician-scientist with additional formal training in public health, clinical trials, and tropical medicine.  He has active research collaborations in Uganda, South Africa, and Thailand.

The King Professorship was established by Dr. Richard King, who completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and graduate work in genetics at UMN, and is faculty in the Departments of Medicine, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology.
