Now, you certainly haven’t seen this much this past basketball season. Three starting seniors, all critical to our success, on the bench at the same time…Gary Simkus (32), Andrew Zimmer (52) and Earl Rooks (3). That’s Dominique Thomas, a freshman guard from Mississippi, next to Earl. Of course, at this point in the game I think we had a 24 point lead. Andrew finished with 36 points and 14 rebounds – a great Saturday afternoon.
We’ll miss those three for sure…but guys like Wes Smith, Aaron Brock, Chase Haltom, and Dominique make the future look pretty good.
