I found out while on vacation that Jeff McLochlin ’83 was killed in acton in Afghanistan last week. Jeff was featured in a Grunge blog report some months back.
There aren’t words in my vocabulary good enough to ease the hurt Jeff’s family feels or to explain why some are called to make the ultimate sacrifice in combat. Suffice to say Jeff gave his life so that we might be free – to live the way we want and to live without the threat of terrorism taking away that way of life.
I know the entire Wabash community joins me in keeping Jeff’s family foremost in our thoughts and prayers.
