Dr. Juan Carlos Venis '09

Dr. Juan Carlos Venis recently assumed the role of President of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians. He completed his MD at Indiana University School of Medicine (2014), and Master’s of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2104).

Venis is the Medical Director of Primary Care at the Damien Center in Indianapolis and is also an assistant professor of clinical family medicine at IU Health in Indianapolis.  He’s fluent in Spanish and is experienced in providing care for patients who identify as LGBTQ+.

While at Wabash, he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry, was an Independent and member of the IMA, Student Senate and Sons of Wabash, Member of the Spanish Club and the Newman Center, and involved with WNDY Radio Station.
