After graduating from Wabash last May, Daniel Ranschaert ’12 took a detour from his planned business career and ended up in Arizona teaching in Tucson’s Catholic schools in poor neighborhoods.  The program, run by The University of Notre Dame, is the Alliance for Catholic Education, which trains young college grads to teach in needy schools for a two-year commitment.  After a day of providing education, Catholic theology, social service, and just plain friendship at San Xavier Mission School, Daniel shares his successes, frustrations, and inspirations with a house full of other young teachers with the same dedication.
