Dr. J. Marc Overhage ’79 is one of three physicians who received a third place award from the International Society for Disease Surveillance for their article detailing a Regenstrief Institute study of emergency health care. Marc is the Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Siemens Healthcare. He was the founder of the Indiana Health Information Exchange and the former director of informatics at the Regenstrief Institute, Inc. before joining Siemens.
Marc received his Ph.D. in biophysics and his M.D. from the IU School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency.
