It hasn’t been the basketball season we had hoped for, in the wins and losses category, but in sheer humanity it might be one of the best in a long, long time.
The young man in the picture is Brownsburg high school student Andrew Rusk. That’s his Dad sitting behind him.
Andrew has a number of health issues – challenges that for many of us would be overwhelming. To Andrew, he takes it as a true Little Giant – Wabash Always Fights and so does Andrew Rusk!
He’s a member of the Little Giant basketball team – you can see his signing day video here. But he’s more than that. From the initial tip off to the final whistle, Andrew is non-stop our #1 fan. Always positive, always encouraging, always smiling. His fellow Little Giants know he’s there for them – and Andrew is thrilled that they are, in turn, there for him.
In the grand scheme of things this – the personal relationship of Andrew and his fellow team members – is what “this good place” is all about. Long after this season enters the history books, many of us will recall the impact this young man had on every, single person in Chadwick Court.
Seattle Seahawks…Texas A&M…your 12th man has nothing on us – we have Andrew Rusk – Some Little Giant!
