When I embarked on my internship this summer, little did I know that it would be a truly transformative experience that would shape the direction of my professional career. Being part of the enFocus team provided me with a remarkable opportunity to immerse myself in the dynamic world of business, honing critical skills, and gaining exposure to a wide range of industries.
What sets an internship at enFocus apart is the incredible variety of projects I had the privilege to work on. From delving into market research and formulating strategies to driving process improvement and conducting customer discovery, I had the chance to tackle real-world challenges faced by businesses. This diversity not only expanded my knowledge base but also fostered a holistic understanding of different industries, equipping me with adaptable problem-solving skills.
Throughout my internship, I had the invaluable guidance and mentorship of experienced project managers and fellows who played a significant role in my personal and professional growth. Their wealth of knowledge and expertise allowed me to learn best practices, gain insights into client interactions, and master the art of delivering impactful presentations. One project that particularly stood out was my involvement with the St. Joseph County Library. Where I was tasked with identifying barriers community members faced when using the library’s services, I was able to employ critical and fluid thinking to engage with individuals across the county.Additionally, I had the opportunity to contribute to the Mission Innovation Project, collaborating with various companies to better understand their customer base. Through conducting my own alpha test, I provided real-time recommendations that directly impacted their clients.
