My internship with the Enrollment Office this summer by far exceeded all of my expectations and was one of the most influential experiences in my career thus far. I learned even more than I could have imagined about a multitude of topics ranging from leadership to navigating insurance. I feel that much of what shaped my experience was the culture of the office and the relationships I was able to build this summer. There was never a point when I felt that I was not supported or capable of completing whatever task I may have been presented with, and this truly made it a pleasure to show up to work and give it my all.

I spent a large part of the summer practicing skills in digital design, communications, marketing, and to
some degree, customer service. At several points throughout the summer, I found myself in awe of all of the ways that Wabash works to create informative and enjoyable experiences for its visitors and was inspired by the intention to personalize each of these experiences for the individual. Having the opportunity to be a part of these carefully crafted experiences has undoubtedly been the highlight of my summer, especially having the opportunity to engage with prospective students directly. It feels in many ways that I am helping introduce the college to its next generation of students and families, and that is exciting for me.

More than anything, though, this summer has taught me just how far genuine effort and preparation go. I have had interactions with families that have the potential to change their lives, and that potential alone has changed mine. Helping people has always been a passion of mine, and this internship gave me the opportunity to do this in more ways than I could count. It has also shown me that while hard work and organization are required for adequate preparation, the effort is never lost in the end product and people can tell the difference. I believe that because of this experience, I am equipped to be more attentive, detailed, organized, creative, and passionate in all of my work. This is more than I could have ever imagined gaining from an internship, and, thus, I am eternally grateful to Caitlin, my supervisor, and the entire team over in Trippet Hall. Thanks for everything!
