On June 8th, 2023, the CIBE program had an incredible opportunity to meet with Alumni Nick Prihoda. We met him at his office, Young and Laramore. Young and Laramore is a marketing firm located in the downtown Indy Area. He gave us a tour around the entire office, showing us the different parts of the actual office building. After a tour, we sat down and Mr.Prihoda gave an awesome presentation that really went into depth about what they do at Young and Laramore. I can speak on behalf of all 24 gentlemen in this program by saying that it was an interesting and exciting presentation that gave us light into an industry often overlooked. I learned about the psychology and thought that has to be considered when making advertisements. He gave us several examples of projects his company had previously worked on. The example that resonated most with me was the example he gave of a company called Hotel Tango. Nick showed us the before and after results of the branding. His team completely transformed the brand, which helped them start to see business pick up. I am incredibly grateful that Mr.Prihoda took time out of his busy schedule to give us a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes in the business
world. As the visit concluded, the participants expressed their gratitude to Nick for his valuable time and willingness to impart knowledge. We left Young and Laramore with a sense of purpose, armed with fresh perspectives and a deeper understanding of the marketing industry. The experience with Nick Prihoda at Young and Laramore will undoubtedly be remembered by us in the CIBE program, igniting a newfound enthusiasm and determination to pursue careers in marketing and related fields. The impact of this remarkable encounter will continue to resonate with each participant as they navigate their future paths with newfound inspiration and knowledge.
