Interning at Mobile Integrated Health in Crawfordsville, IN, has provided me with valuable insights into how their Paramedicine program benefits the community in various
ways. This includes the Chronic Disease program, which offers weekly appointments to ensure patients’ well-being, and the Falls program, designed to assist individuals at
elevated risk of recurrent falls to receive the necessary support. During my 8-week internship, I analyzed the data collected by MHI from the beginning of the year through the
conclusion of my internship. This analysis led me to develop a dashboard that simplifies the understanding of patient data and enhances how MHI can better assist them.
Additionally, my time at MHI has broadened my perspective on the community, exposing me to programs such as First Door and enlightening me on discussions regarding mental
health in Crawfordsville. Overall, this internship has inspired me to consider a career in the healthcare field, allowing me to make a meaningful impact in ways that a traditional desk
job may not facilitate after graduation.
