This summer I had the privilege of living in Washington DC where I worked as a Business Development Intern at Stanton Chase: Executive Search and Leadership Consultants. I got to work on a wide variety of projects during my 12 weeks at Stanton Chase where I was able to collaborate with seasoned professionals. I contributed to candidate research, business development, and lead generation. I also had the opportunity to participate in client meetings. This immersive experience not only boosted my confidence but also honed my analytical and communication skills.

One of the highlights of my internship was the unwavering support of the Stanton Chase team. My mentors, with their wealth of experience, guided me through the intricacies of the industry, sharing valuable insights and practical tips. Beyond the professional realm, my internship at Stanton Chase provided ample opportunities for personal growth. The fast-paced nature of the work encouraged me to sharpen my time-management skills and adapt quickly to changing circumstances, while giving me a better idea of where I want to end up after graduating. Observing the dedication and work ethic of the team inspired me to set higher standards for myself and strive for excellence in all endeavors. Stanton Chase not only expanded my knowledge of the industry but also nurtured my professional development in ways I hadn’t imagined.

This internship has helped me to begin carving out a path, allowing me to start narrowing in on potential careers and industries to strive for. Having the experience of living in Washington was also extremely beneficial. I was able to experience the strength of the Wabash alumni network in the DC area, this experience has made me eager to return to the city following graduation. I am leaving Washington with a sense of accomplishment, equipped with skills and insights that will undoubtedly shape my future pursuits in the world of business and talent acquisition. My summer at Stanton Chase has been a chapter of growth, learning, and inspiration that I will carry with me throughout my career journey.
