The Hermitage still stands today. It is located at 650 East 8th Street, Brookville, Indiana and serves as a bed and breakfast for those wanting to visit the historical town of Brookville. From the antique furniture and original Hoosier group paintings, the 19 room house still has all the character of when T.C. Steele and J. Ottis Adams were its residents. Its location makes available plenty of outdoor activities, such as canoeing, fishing, jogging, swimming, and touring the historic parts of town. The innkeeper, Martha Shea, has tried hard to maintain the original beauty of the house without forfeiting any modern pleasures.
