Meeting Winifred, His Future Wife

Adams married his wife Winifred Brady on October 1, 1898. Adams first met his wife ten years earlier when he was teaching art classes in Muncie. Winifred was one of Adams’ students and remained close to him for the next ten years. Their wedding was in Muncie, but soon after, they moved to Indianapolis. For their farewell to Muncie, Adams opened his studio in January of 1899 for a celebration with friends.
