Professor Emeritus Raymond Williams H’68 was quoted today in a Washington Post article about the possibility of United States Court of Appeals Judge Sir Srinivasan being a nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court. If selected, Judge Srinivasan would be the first Hindu justice ever to serve on the Supreme Court

As an expert on the Swaminarayan sect of Hinduism, Professor Williams noted that “it’s hard to generalize about Hindus, because Hindus are as diverse or perhaps more diverse in their religious and political views than any other tradition that I’m aware of.”
