First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the alumni who generously contributed to the Dill Fund, as well as to the Career Services Office for their dedicated efforts in providing me with this incredible opportunity. This summer, I had the opportunity of working as a software developer at CSA360, under the guidance of Founder and CEO Tony Unfried, Class of ’03.

This opportunity allowed me to thoroughly enjoy learning new concepts and reflecting on my software development skills. I dedicated most of my internship to working with the User Interface and User Experience of a website. As a Computer Science major with a minor in Film and Digital Media, this experience provided me a valuable insight into the software developer path that I am pursuing. Beyond my primary tasks, I collaborated with my co-worker to deliver a presentation on Project Management to the CIBE students in June. One piece of advice from Mr. Tony Unfried during this presentation stood out to me: “If you want to start a business, you should first work for a business to understand how it operates.” His words have inspired me to pursue my own tech start-up in the future.

In conclusion, this experience was truly invaluable. Not only did I have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in what it takes to be a software developer, but I was also exposed to a variety of useful technologies that will prepare me for the future. This internship played a significant role in helping me clarify my future goals and the steps I need to take to achieve them.
