This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to work with Tony Unfried and CSA360 once again. Last summer, my primary focus was on familiarizing myself with the software, creating tickets, and updating the knowledge base to better understand CSA360’s objectives and functionalities. This initial experience was crucial as it laid the foundation for my work this year,
where I was able to dig deeper into the backend operations, specifically through Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Tony helped me out by getting me in contact with Trek10 which led to a course, aimed at earning an AWS Solutions Architect certificate. This class has been a significant part of my summer, allowing me to gain a more comprehensive understanding of AWS and its applications in enhancing CSA360’s backend infrastructure. The coursework was rigorous and demanded a lot of my time and effort, but it has been immensely rewarding. I have learned about various AWS services, architecture best practices, and how to implement scalable and secure solutions.
This knowledge is not only theoretical but will also be applied in the future with Tony or any other AWS based softwares.
In addition to my studies, I continued to assist Tony with various tasks, including documentation and policy formulation. These tasks were essential for security of the company and clients of CSA360 and ensuring that all processes were well-documented and compliant with industry standards. Working on documentation has improved my technical writing skills and provided me
with a deeper understanding of the importance of security for a company and its clients.
Moreover, I had the chance to teach about project management. Alongside Minh Nguyen, I helped instruct current members of the CIBE on project management. This experience was uncomfortable for me as I am not a great public speaker but offered me a chance to get out of my comfort zone. Teaching others has reinforced my understanding of project management
principles and highlighted the importance of teamwork and leadership.
Overall, this summer has been an incredible journey of learning and growth. Working with Tony Unfried and CSA360 has not only advanced my technical skills but also honed my ability to collaborate and learn. I am grateful for the experiences and look forward to applying these skills in future endeavors
