Pitch Day – the day that I both dreaded and looked forward to throughout the internship. Over the past few weeks, we learned from alumni how to develop our business ideas. I am grateful for the enriching experience that included visits to Eli Lilly and various other businesses. The opportunity to gain knowledge about the innerworkings of what goes into the brands that surround us was invaluable to my growth and understanding of the industry. Visiting Eli Lilly was especially enlightening, as I gained insights into their innovative practices and corporate culture that will undoubtedly shape my future career aspirations.
Additionally, the time spent at Fusion 54 was not only educational but also enjoyable. The fun atmosphere and collaborative spirit at Fusion 54 made learning feel like a breeze, and I enjoyed every moment of networking and exchanging ideas with professionals and peers alike. Living on campus with my fellow interns was another highlight, as we formed lasting friendships and shared unforgettable experiences that extended beyond the workplace. The camaraderie and support from my peers made the transition into professional life smoother and more rewarding than I could have imagined.
Pitch Day, where I presented my project Ignition Shield, marked a significant milestone in our development process. It was a product of thorough preparation and focused effort over the previous weeks. Standing before judges and peers to introduce our solution was a blend of anticipation and ingenuity. The experience of explaining our concept, our prototype, and engaging in meaningful discussions underscored the practicality and potential of Ignition Shield. Pitch Day provided a crucial platform to display our hard work and receive valuable insights for enhancing Ignition Shield’s validity.
Overall, I am deeply thankful for the program that allowed me to explore different facets of the business world, from corporate giants like Eli Lilly to dynamic start-ups at TechPoint, all while forging meaningful connections and memories that will guide and inspire me in my future endeavors.
