Wabash IT Services is pleased to announce that Wabash’s site license for Mathematica now covers student personal computers. Students can download and install Mathematica 7 (Windows or MacOS) on their personal computers, or can run Mathematica through Wabash’s virtual desktop system, Deskview, at no cost.

Please note that after installing Mathematica, you will have 14 days to register and obtain a password. Instructions for installing Mathematica and obtaining a password are available at the above web site, after you have logged in.
If you prefer not to install Mathematica on your computer, you can run it through Deskview. Instructions for using Deskview are available here:

That’s great- I just found out this semester that Mathematica isn’t just a computing software, but can also be used for modeling, simulation, visualization, development, documentation, and deployment. It’s great that it’s now free!
