Today I had the opportunity to go to Wieliczka, the salt mine in Poland. We went down the first three levels which in total only made up 1 percent of the total depth of the salt mine at 135 meters. While walking down the mine there was a strong draft of air following us, and I could even hear the drafts from behind the doors we passed. There was a section down in the second level that was a church that was mostly carved out by three people which occasionally hosts weddings. Along the walk, I licked the salt-covered walls and tried some of the freshly produced salt water. The area we ended at used to have bungee jumping available for people to jump from really high up down to the final area. We walked over 800 stair steps and ended by going up in a lift. I am grateful for the opportunity to have this experience.
