id=\"caption-attachment-3629\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our largest-ever Chicago Holiday Luncheon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mike Warren and I made the trip yesterday to downtown Chicago for the Annual Wabash Club of Chicago Holiday Luncheon. \u00a0The location was the University Club. \u00a0There wasn\u2019t any traffic (thanks Mike for driving!) and we arrived earlier than we had anticipated.<\/p>\n<p>I hate to reveal personal secrets\u2026but my usual custom is to check out the room for the photo opportunities. \u00a0At my minuscule stage of proficiency, I need every advantage I can get. \u00a0We had been in the room before so it wasn\u2019t a big deal\u2026or so I thought.<\/p>\n<p>Well, as Lee Corso would say, \u201cnot so fast my friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Club\u2019s Art Gallery had been relocated to the room and it seems the theme of the exhibit was \u201cNo Clothes.\u201d \u00a0Here\u2019s the look right behind the podium and mic.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"caption-attachment-3617\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Oh Baby!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So\u2026instead of anchoring myself in a good spot, I ended up walking back and forth in the back of the room&#8230;constantly. \u00a0I felt bad, but at one point I had to \u201creposition\u201d Greg Estell right in the middle of his comments. \u00a0Here\u2019s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wabash.edu\/photo_album\/home.cfm?photo_album_id=4088\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a> to the photo album \u2013 see if you can spot the photo right after the \u201creposition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, however, the art just didn\u2019t matter. \u00a0As always, the Chicago Holiday luncheon was a great event. \u00a0Plenty of Holiday spirit and a
