We can\u2019t take much of a celebratory break, though, as we\u2019re planning a full summer of upgrades and new technology initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\">We\u2019re still putting the finishing touches on our summer project list, but by the time we\u2019re done I expect we\u2019ll track more than 50 distinct projects. I\u2019ll save the full list for another day, but here are some key projects now or soon to be underway:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday our wireless project enters its next phase with the start of a three-week campus site survey.<\/li>\n<li>Friday we placed our Apple and Dell computer orders\u2013206 systems in total, with installation scheduled to begin May 21.<\/li>\n<li>Later this month we will begin upgrading computer projection systems in 40 classrooms across campus.<\/li>\n<li>The countdown to our Datatel R18 upgrade is already well underway, with only five weeks to go before the new version goes live June 7-10.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\">I always smile when students (and sometimes faculty) ask my summer vacation plans, as if Wabash shuts down for the summer.
