Everyone knows Halloween is in October, but did you know that October is also National Cyber Security Awareness Month? IT Services does a number of things to keep Wabash data and computer systems safe, but we all must share this responsibility.
Spyware, phishing scams, viruses, and spam all pose a threat to keeping College and personal information safe and secure. As responsible computer users, we all must learn to recognize computer scams, use strong passwords, and keep our systems updated.
Throughout October, will distribute a variety of information to the Wabash community on computer security issues, and how you can keep your computer–and your information!–safe. If you’d like to get a head start, a good resource is staysafeonline.org.
