I didn’t expect to get so close to a lot of the people that I worked with. We all ended up bonding really well and it was honestly just a great social environment. I really love talking to a lot of the different entrepreneurs that they brought in as speakers such as Tony Umfried and one of the founders of Oak Street Health. A lot of the trips that we took opened my eyes towards a lot of different business routes aswell. Such as when we visited Eli Lilly, I never really knew much about what it actually looked like and how it operated but after I learned and was taught some of the ins and outs, I found a really fascinating. My favorite part of the experience was definitely going down to Chicago. I haven’t been to a big city in so long and being able to meet different alumnus that work high up in different large companies was really cool to see and really opened my eyes to what Wabash men can do. There was a lot of information on different financial routes you as a student could take after Wabash and it really emphasized what those jobs entail and how they relate to you and your personality which really helped me analyze what these jobs really were.
Creating our own business from the ground up included some of the most fun and challenging things I’ve done as a student at Wabash. The election process on which companies us CIBE students wanted to vote on. To who gets drafted into those companies, I found it really fascinating. I learned a lot about myself as a leader, and as a work partner, some of my flaws and some of my weaknesses and that is something I can take with me even outside of Wabash. I really didn’t enjoy this experience and I’m going to take a lot of things away with me. Also, we won the competition so that was awesome. Also I got to be Wally! Thank you.

I honestly didn’t know what I expected going into BIP , but I definitely found out a lot about myself as a person and as a professional.
