The gentlemen of the Business Immersion Program (BIP) had the chance to visit Tony Unfried \u201903 at his current business in Carmel, Indiana. Tony is a serial entrepreneur who has owned and operated nine different companies. His current company is a security network for large stadiums and event centers. During the visit we ran into some current Wabash students who are interning for Tony over the summer. Tony explained what the Wabash students do for him and explained how they use sales scripts. The Wabash students gave a presentation about project management while Tony chimed in with advice and lessons he has learned in his own personal work experience.  Tony taught the group about project management and what all it entails to be an entrepreneur. He discussed how he handles the people who work for him, through the process of buying and selling companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony also emphasized the importance of market research. He has been a judge for the final BIP Pitch Day for the last few years and made sure to make it a point that young entrepreneurs understand their market. The pitch that won the final competition actually called Tony separately and used his knowledge to help them win. Finally, the BIP gentlemen enjoyed some delicious coffee from the high-tech coffee machines in Tony\u2019s breakroom. Not only did the BIP program have the chance to visit Tony in his office they also got the chance to go out to eat with him. Members of BIP did some high-quality networking over the delicious food at La Hacienda. In the afternoon, Alejandro Reyna \u201917 did an EQ session at Tony\u2019s establishment. He taught us about emotional intelligence and how it is important to have a healthy sleep schedule. Alejandro asked us to make goals in his first session and followed up on those goals this time around.<\/p>\n\n\n
