This summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of an enriching internship at the Admissions Office. Throughout the program, I engaged in a variety of tasks, from conducting campus tours to exploring online platforms, and even taking on a creative project for the team’s staff apparel. This blog post aims to share the highlights of my experience and the invaluable lessons I learned along the way. One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship was conducting campus tours for prospective students and their families. The experience honed my communication skills and helped me connect with people from diverse backgrounds, fostering my passion for positively impacting others. I worked closely with the Admissions team to manage virtual events, webinars, and social media campaigns. Gaining proficiency in these digital tools expanded my skill set and deepened my understanding of how technology can be leveraged to foster connections and engagement within a virtual landscape. Adding a creative flair to my internship, during our project list, I was entrusted with the exciting task of designing staff apparel for the Admissions team. Collaborating closely with team members to understand their preferences, crafted a design that embodied the team\u2019s spirit and unity. Witnessing the staff proudly wear the apparel was immensely gratifying, and super fulfilling that I had a part in it. This internship resonated deeply with my long-term goal of pursuing a career in Marketing. The experience provided me with firsthand insights into admissions processes which helps with communication in many ways, student engagement strategies, and the significance of creating a positive campus culture to improve students\u2019 lives. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Admissions Office, my supervisors Caitlin Ebbinghaus and Nikki Galloway for their help, and the entire team for providing me with an incredible learning experience. Their mentorship, encouragement, and support made this internship one that I will cherish for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n
