Lucas Holstine ’18\u00a0Hanapin<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Marketing –\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em>My experience interning at\u00a0Hanapin\u00a0Marketing\u00a0this summer has been an absolutely terrific opportunity to learn about what the\u00a0“real”\u00a0world is like after graduation. I applied for the position with a keen interest in trying to find out what kind of job I would be interested in after my\u00a0education\u00a0at Wabash, and\u00a0Hanapin\u00a0has provided this for me. I have garnered\u00a0a lot of interest in the field of digital marketing while working here,\u00a0but have also realized\u00a0professions\u00a0I don\u2019t\u00a0see myself having, such\u00a0as\u00a0sales.<\/p>\n

My position at\u00a0Hanapin\u00a0is on the Conversion Rate\u00a0Optimisation\u00a0(CRO) team. While the rest of the company operates on Paid Per Click (PPC) marketing that works to drive traffic\u00a0to\u00a0our clients website\u2019s, the CRO team gets traffic\u00a0through\u00a0the website by making pages that are easy to navigate and ensuring that the goals on the site are clear and easy to reach by the traffic. Some of the projects that I\u2019ve worked on have had me looking through analytics data to try and understand the experience that the user traffic has and to prepare presentations for clients to communicate these ideas clearly.\u00a0I’ve also\u00a0partaken\u00a0in projects\u00a0to\u00a0organize\u00a0data from previous tests that the CRO team has ran on client\u2019s websites in order to make it easily accessible\u00a0for future use to help make the team more efficient and effective.\u00a0Most of the tasks that I do are time consuming tasks. The CRO team\u00a0h\"\"<\/a>ave also\u00a0familiarized me\u00a0with some of the big projects that\u00a0Hanapin\u00a0are conducting\u00a0currently.<\/p>\n

I have been very fortunate to have been sponsored by the Lilly Endowment while\u00a0working\u00a0at\u00a0Hanapin. By being offered a full-time and paid position, it allows me to be fully immersed in the company culture and to build more relationships that\u00a0part-time internships fail to provide.\u00a0Hanapin\u00a0has been terrific at making me feel like a member of the team with\u00a0company wide\u00a0picnics and team-building training sessions that have allowed me to connect with many other coworkers that I don\u2019t normally have contact with. This experience has been something that I\u2019ll never forget, and has definitely helped me build a solid foundation for my future endeavors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
