Professor of Modern Languages V. Daniel Rogers’ love of learning was first sparked by his grandparents’ library in El Paso, TX.<\/p>\n

“It is really hot in El Paso in the summertime, so my favorite place there was my grandparents’ air conditioned library,” Rogers recalls in a wide-ranging\u00a0Wabash On My Mind<\/em> interview with Rich Paige. “There were tons of books, and I have wonderful memories of hanging out in that library and reading to my heart’s content.”<\/p>\n

And the “V.” stands for “Victor.”<\/p>\n

“Victor Daniel Rogers, Jr. is my full name,” the professor explains. “I preferred ‘Dan.’ Somehow ‘Victor’ did not work in junior high.”<\/p>\n
