{"id":2065,"date":"2016-03-17T00:47:40","date_gmt":"2016-03-17T00:47:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/magazine\/?p=2065"},"modified":"2023-05-24T17:56:48","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T17:56:48","slug":"a-voice-for-all-of-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/magazine\/2016\/03\/17\/a-voice-for-all-of-us\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;A Voice That Advocates for All of Us&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Award-winning poet and Visiting Assistant Professor of English Nate Marshall read and performed at in Korb Classroom last \u00a0week\u00a0the work one critic has called \u201ca\u00a0testament to home, to struggle, and to survival\u2014a reminder of the places most people would rather forget.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I love about Nate\u2019s work, both as an editor and a writer, is that he strives for words with relevance,\u201d Associate Professor Eric Freeze said, introducing the poet. \u201cNate comes from a tradition of activist poetry.
