Wabash did much of both in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Not a week after savoring student work in January 2015&#8217;s Celebration of Student Research, Scholarship, and Creative Work, we grieved the tragic death of one of our best and brightest, Robert Dirks \u201900, in a Metro-North train accident in New York.<\/p>\n<p>We reveled in the return of Professor Emeritus of Classics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wabash.edu\/photo_album\/home.cfm?photo_album_id=4220\">John Fischer H\u201970<\/a> to receive an honorary doctorate at Commencement in, then mourned the death of Professor of French<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/magazine\/2015\/08\/25\/remembering-professor-tom-stokes\/\"> Tom Stokes <\/a>in July.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018To everything there is a season&#8221; at Wabash.
