The detail and the magnificence\u00a0of\u00a0the mosaic of Christ in Judgment was\u00a0amazing, and the fact that it was in such great condition added to its shock factor.\u00a0Although I&#8217;ve seen several pictures of the building and the mosaic\u00a0inside from my research,\u00a0pictures simply just couldn&#8217;t do it justice. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black;font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;font-size: medium\"><span dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">When we&#8217;re reading Machiavelli&#8217;s works in class, we hear about how the various noble families,\u00a0the powerful guilds, and the various religious orders\u00a0were able to exert their influence over the city of Florence, but reading about this political dynamic of the city just isn&#8217;t enough.
