Below are the responses of Wabash men &#8212; both current students and alumni &#8212; when asked what was their favorite Wabash tradition.<\/p>\n<p><b>Hezekiah Eibert \u201815<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cI love Wabash and I love our traditions.\u00a0 That is one of my favorite parts of this place.\u00a0 If you were forcing me to choose, I\u2019d say the guarding and the ringing of the Bell the week prior and the week after.\u00a0 Homecoming is the pride of your house. Monon Bell is the entire campus \u2013 everybody alike \u2013 unified in keeping that Bell safe and making sure the whole town can hear it ring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Steve Ganson \u201873<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cThe Monon Bell because it was so much fun. My senior year was the year that a few of my former roommates actually stole the Bell from ourselves, from Wabash, and we blamed DePauw. They had it in their apartment and the uproar was unbelievable. They went into the gym and took the Bell right off the balcony there and took it to their room. That had to be the Fall of \u201972. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottolmsteadphotography.com\/Wabash-College-Indiana\/1973-Monon-Bell-Classic\/1973-Monon-Bell-Classic\/i-dPbpLdD\">Sports Illustrated did a story<\/a> on the game the following year and mentioned the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2435\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2435\" style=\"width: 290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/fyi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/11\/Bell.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2435 \" alt=\"Bell\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/fyi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/11\/Bell.jpg\" width=\"290\" height=\"193\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2435\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">To the victor&#8230;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><b>Wes Hauser \u201815<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cBell Week. The atmosphere on campus is a lot of fun \u2013 even the professors get into the spirit by making jokes during class time. Everyone is so chipper. It adds some spice to the semester.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Ivan Koutsopatriy \u201816<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cThe Monon Bell. That one is usually a hard one for students because while you are studying anywhere on campus, you can hear that thing ringing non-stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0Jared Lange \u201808<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cProtecting the Bell and the interactions with alumni in that week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Jason Siegel \u201808<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cMy favorite week every year is Monon Bell week.\u00a0 The campus just has a different energy.\u00a0 The freshmen staying up ringing the Bell, guarding the Bell.\u00a0 That\u2019s my favorite tradition, the Monon Bell festivities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Brent Bollick \u201891<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cMonon Bell.\u00a0 We were 0-4 when I was there, so I kept going back until we won one, which we finally did.\u00a0 That\u2019s where I\u2019m able to connect with other alums.\u00a0 The tough part of living down here (in Jacksonville, Fla.) is just how easy it was to stay connected by going to that one game.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b>Spencer Burk \u201814<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cIt has to be the Bell. It has to do with everything on campus.
