McDorman Publishes “One for the Books”

Senior Associate Dean of the College and Professor of Rhetoric Todd F. McDorman’s article, “‘One for the Books’: (Re)Constructing Baseball History, Memory, and Community,” was published in The Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball and American Culture, 2013-2014, edited by William M. Symons and published by McFarland & Co. The article is based on Professor McDorman’s 2013 LaFollette Lecture.

 


Lamberton Publishes on “Cultural Work of Student Writing”

Assistant Professor of English Jill Lamberton’s article, “‘A revelation and a delight’: Nineteenth-century Cambridge Women, Academic Collaboration, and the Cultural Work of Student Writing,” was published in College Composition and Communication, Vol. 65, Issue 4 (June 2014).

Professor Lamberton is also presenting an invited talk to the Purdue University Chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America on March 5. The talk is titled “Institutional Memory and Extra-curricular Student Writing: The Case of Alice Mary Longfellow and the Harvard Annex.”
