The Elston family tree extends far past Isaac and Maria. The two had nine children, six daughters and three sons. Their son, Isaac II, married Sara Mills and they had six children of their own. Their daughter Susan married Lew Wallace, a famous Civil War general, in 1852. The Elston family continued for many years to be one of the most prominent families of Crawfordsville.<\/p>\n
